How much does a haircut cost?

Haircut £14, skin fade £16, scissors cut £16, hot towel or steam shave £14, beard trim and line £12, kids under 10 from £12, OAPs £10, hair styling, waxing and threading £5, hair wash £4, full service £33.

Do you cut kids' hair?

Yes, all ages. Kids under 10 are £12 for a haircut or £13 for a skin fade. We're patient with first-cut nerves.

How long does a cut take?

A standard haircut takes 25 to 30 minutes. A skin fade is 30 to 40 minutes. A hot towel shave is around 20 minutes.

Where can I park near the shop?

Free on-street parking on Hoylake Road right outside, plus free public parking around the corner.

Do you take card or cash?

Both. Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or cash. Whatever is easiest.

Behind the chair

Meet Honar.

The sign reads Ilyan's. The lads know him as Honar. Either way, the same hands have been cutting hair for sixteen years.

He started in his brother's shop in Liverpool, learning the trade the long way round. Eight years ago he crossed the water, opened his own door on Hoylake Road, and put his name above it.

One standard. The high one. The reason there are over 950 five-star reviews on this page is not marketing. It is the same chair, the same hands, the same refusal to let a fade leave the shop unless it is right.
